The Republican Party Mustn't Give up on Black America

I swear the internet social media ethos is full of moronic imbecile pathetic goons. Although they are vastly in the minority, a few “so-called” Republicans felt the need to express that “Black community outreach is a waste of time and is just a form of pandering.” Most of these remarks were followed by people cheering on and concurring with Scott Adams’ (creator of the Dilbert comic strip) rant via a video he made and published where he stated that white people should stay away from black people and stop helping them. Many people took to the bird app (Twitter) to post Tweets insinuating that the GOP should take his advice, stop outreach to the Black communities and offer them no help because there is nothing in it to gain from it.
I listened to the interview Scott did with Hotep Jesus. He made those hyperbolic statements to get a conversation going. The interview was very explanatory. I recommend it to anyone to help understand his underlying meaning. His hyperbole is well known by those who follow him and are similar to Elon. The left understands no nuance, no satire, no irony. Those of us who love black America and want the best especially for Black children will always stand w Black America. God bless!
Really wish I could "heart" this a few hundred times. As a long time Conservative this has been one of greatest aggravations with the Republican party for sometime. Until recently they basically wrote off any vote other than their base. They finally do something, through Trump no less, and now they flinch.
The Republican party needs to emulate the efforts of Blexit and people like Scott Presler (think I got the last name right) and influencers from all walks of life.
Great article. Thank you Marcus. Do check out the interview on Hotep Jesus or Hotep Nation podcast. I stand with you on this support for Black Americans.
"A God first conservative" you are indeed. That's why this article was uplifting and motivating to me. You called out the facts but didn't stay in a place of frustration. This was a great read!
This is exactly why I’ve been constantly disappointed with both the national and state party. Every voter counts and I don’t care what neighborhood or city you live you. Period. If they are undecided, then we should be competing for their vote.
The GOP wants to pick and choose its voters and this has to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever witnessed.
As a fellow Michigander, it shouldn’t be that controversial to set up outreach campaigns and programs to the city of Detroit or other black majority cities. And I say this as a white lady.
To me, it’s always been a no brainer to do this. To the GOP, well, they act like this is going to Mars or Jupiter and just a bridge too far.
It’s just bizarre to me that they’d leave a lot voters up for grabs and not even try to compete. It has gotten a bit better over the past decade, but when you start at zero....you can only go up.
I believe the fight is on for the soul of the Republican Party. The globalist neocon war party has made a coalition with the Democrats. Officially or not, there is a Uniparty in Washington that shares these imperialist goals. I don’t see black people in general signing onto that, nor would many be attracted into the old country club Republican Party. Will the Republicans go back to their roots as the radicals who first included black America, albeit imperfectly, into our politics? I’m horrified by our current ruling class, now led by the Dems, but I believe it remains to be seen whether Republicans in power will be any different. My only hope is that the neocons have abandoned the party for good.

Nope, it should be the other way around. The few black conservatives should not give up on the republican party.
The Republican party should do all it takes to not chase them off as they are wanting to do now
