Does life matter? Not that long ago we would have all been able to easily answer this question, but today it's not that simple. Those who advocate for ‘inclusivity, diversity, and kindness’ also advocate that a baby has no value until they are born. They say those with disabilities are burdens on society. They think it is moral and merciful (not to mention economical) to offer those with mental illness state-sponsored suicide. How can one who prides themselves on empathy place such little value on human life?
I had a conversation with a former girlfriend who works is a prenatal nurse but is adamant about abortion. Her current rant about abortion was all beautifully and eloquently addressed in this article and I will be forwarding it to her. I’m curious what the abortionists reaction when the population declines continue to the point where states will have to do drastic measures to get the populations up?
I think any parent who has a disabled child thinks to themselves, do I have what it takes, am I strong enough, all the what ifs that enter your head. Then you look at the beautiful gift in your arms, and swear to God and anyone else that you will do everything in your power to make it work. Sadly that has been lost in the me,me,me,I, I, I, society we live in. Contrary to what others think my daughter is not a medical or social burden. She is a teacher of patience, love, humility, acceptance and perseverance. The only people I hear talking about killing people with disabilities, are the people who have never had a child with disabilities. When it's her time to leave this earth, she will have lived a life full of love and joy.

Good article. I think it would be better if instead of saying " kill a baby" you might write " kill a human fetus".
